Our Story
Founded in 1999 by Rusty Weirich, Lightning W Expeditions delivers friendly, guided hunting experiences across the premier ranches of Central, South, and West Texas. Based in Johnson City, Texas, we provide exclusive access to thousands of acres of prime hunting terrain. Over the decades, hundreds of clients have joined the Weirich family tradition, building lifelong friendships around the campfire and returning year after year.
The Next Generation
Today, our family business transitions into the next generation. Experienced guide Reid Weirich has joined the company to carry the torch, ensuring the same dedication to quality, safety, and camaraderie that defined our start.
